Well, that's just it. Even that sheer power will take time to use, especially if it's a spell. A skilled wizard would be able to redirect in a very short amount of time (if they can't they DESERVE to be steeped on
), be it magical or physical. Regardless of how much strength a dragon has, it will be turned against him as fast as he can use it.
See where I'm going with this? lol.

Wizard can redirect it.
Pixie can disorient it and prevent it from ever attacking in the first place.
Goblins.....they just sit there and get slaughtered, and maybe blow up every now and again.
